- Business Recovery/Credit Management
-
Question: When could I start to see the results of your Credit Management Service?
Answer: It really does depend on the business situation and the Terms and Conditions you employ, but the first priority will be to collect as much of the overdue sales ledger as possible by prioritising the later invoices to the recent invoices.
Secondly, we will start to improve the structure of your credit control by updating and amending, where necessary, your policies and procedures. This will give you a firmer ground to work from. At this stage you will start to see these changes deliver results.
The idea of this service is to give you a sustainable credit control function for the long term, which will increase cash flow and highlight immediately where there might be a breakdown in communication with your customers.
- Outsourcing
-
Question: Will outsourcing credit control potentially damage my business relationships with my customers?
Answer: Employing a third party to support your credit control function does not mean losing, or putting one’s reputation at stake. Amril follow the Code of Practice of the CSA. Our collector’s methodology is one of engaging the debtor, not confronting them. This collaborative approach reaps better results, and maintains the creditor/debtor relationship for the future.
Question: We employ credit controllers to stop debts occurring in the first place. To employ a credit management firm therefore, in our minds at least, is doubling up on costs?
Answer: The strength of a third party credit management firm can have a powerful impact on settlement of the more difficult debts that are seriously overdue. Amril provide a terms and conditions of trade review service which can mean that the credit management firm’s costs are repaid by the debtor should the client have a right to claim these through the Late Payments Act or if they wish too
