What a great opportunity! Our mission was to get local businesses in Sussex to attend our joint event with First Friday and Sparks the Children’s Charity which was held at The Lime, St Pauls Church here in Worthing.
We had a good turnout where Jonathan Reuvid, Consultant Editor and author of more than 35 international books gave a talk on Risk Management including The Business Guide to Credit Management which our MD Graham Sands has written a chapter on National Debt (Business to Business) UK.
Jonathan’s discussion catered around the economic climate from a world, European and UK perspective reinforced by guidelines on Risk Management. It was a great event where businesses could discuss the effects the current economic climate was having on their business as well as a great networking opportunity.
What one of our delegates said about the event … “I found Jonathans talk on macro economics very enlightening. It put into context the financial problems being experienced around the world and how the impact of these problems can affect local businesses in the Worthing area. I found it fascinating listening to Jonathan as he drew upon his considerable experience working with financial institutions to present a succinct and easily understandable explanation of the problems being experienced by the major economic powers. As a result of his talk we will make some adjustments to the way we do businesses outside the UK.”
